The Bissell Block Rowhouse

Built in 1876, with an addition added in 1880, the "Bissell Block" rowhouse is located at 1100-1150 Main Street. It is an excellent example of Second Empire architecture. Rowhouses were common in Dubuque, while being very few in number elsewhere in Iowa.
