This pedestrian plaza is located at the intersection of Bluff Street and West 2nd Street, opposite St. Raphael's Cathedral, in the Cathedral Historic District. The plaza contains the welded copper sculpture "Five Figures for Five Flags" which depicts a lead miner, a missionary priest, a steamboat pilot, and a farmer and his wife. This sculpture was created by Ann L. Opgenorth of Bellevue, Iowa and was one of the four finalists in the 1973 Five Flags Sculpture Contest.
